By

EPLegal is delighted to announce that Mr. Tony Nguyen, EPLegal’s Founding Partner and Deputy Director of the Vietnam Mediation Center, has been invited to speak at the “International Dispute Resolution in a Post-Pandemic Era: Trends and Challenges” event. This event is co-organized by the Vietnam Mediation Center, the Singapore International Mediation Center, and the Vietnam International Arbitration Center. The focus of the event will be on alternative dispute resolution (ADR), specifically mediation and arbitration in the post-pandemic era, exploring emerging trends and challenges in the field.

The International Dispute Resolution Conference is scheduled to take place on January 17, 2024, in Hanoi, and January 19, 2024, in Ho Chi Minh City. The conference will bring together legal professionals and experts to discuss the evolving landscape of dispute resolution in a world recovering from the global pandemic.

During the seminars, Mr. Tony Nguyen together with Mr. George Lim SC, Chairman of the Singapore International Mediation Centre will give keynote speeches on turning multi-million dollar green energy and construction disputes into mutually beneficial deals through facilitated settlements in international arbitration. In recent years, there has been a significant increase in green energy and construction projects worldwide, often involving substantial investments and complex contractual arrangements. Consequently, disputes arise, leading to costly and time-consuming arbitration proceedings. As we navigate the post-pandemic era, it is crucial to find innovative ways to expedite the resolution of these disputes and transform them into opportunities for collaboration and deal-making.

Throughout the events, the experts will explore various techniques and strategies using mediation stories as case studies. These stories will provide valuable insights into the real and intangible costs and benefits associated with mediation. By examining these narratives, we can gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of mediation processes, the challenges faced, and the innovative approaches employed to achieve successful resolutions.

Mr. Tony Nguyen is honored to contribute to this important seminar, and EPLegal looks forward to engaging with fellow professionals, sharing insights, and collectively shaping the future of our field in a post-pandemic world.
