On 3 July 2026, in Can Tho City, EPLegal’s experts joined the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Mekong Delta Branch (VCCI Mekong Delta) to deliver an in-depth training program on the legal aspects of import–export contracts and cross-border risk management.
The program drew business leaders, import-export officers, and in-house legal and risk professionals from across the region – those navigating the growing legal complexity of international trade.
The sessions were led by three seasoned EPLegal experts in international trade and dispute resolution:

– Phan Trong Dat, LL.M. – Partner at EPLegal Hanoi; former Deputy Secretary General of VIAC; Arbitrator at VTA and MCAC; former Acting Director of the Vietnam Mediation Centre (VMC).
The program was structured into five in-depth modules:
International Sale of Goods Contracts: structure, key clauses, and effective drafting.
Contract law: obligations and breaches, the 1980 Vienna Convention (CISG), discharge of obligations, and exemptions from liability.
International payments and risks, including the specifics of the agriculture and fisheries sector.
Dispute resolution and practical guidance for cross-border transactions.
Cross-border fraud and prevention: KYC, BEC, and handling real fraud scenarios.
Throughout the day, participants brought real business cases to the table, and our experts helped decode risks, analyze prevention, and surface solutions ready to apply in practice.
