On 17 April in Ho Chi Minh City, the Green Leadership Community, in collaboration with domestic and international partners, hosted the international conference “Sustainable Future Development 10” in celebration of Earth Day 2026 (22 April).
At the event, Dr. Nguyễn Trung Nam, Founding Partner of EPLegal, attended and delivered remarks, sharing legal perspectives on green transition and emissions reduction.
In his presentation, Dr. Nam highlighted a key shift: green transition is moving from “commitment” to “legal obligation.” Environmental, ESG, and carbon market requirements are increasingly being formalised, with direct implications for how businesses structure projects, raise capital, and operate.
From a practical standpoint, he emphasised that businesses must adopt a comprehensive legal strategy to:
– Ensure compliance with increasingly stringent environmental regulations
– Structure energy and infrastructure projects in line with sustainability standards
– Manage legal risks in long-term transactions and contracts
In this context, EPLegal positions itself not merely as a legal advisor, but as a strategic partner, supporting clients throughout the transition process – from project structuring and compliance review to dispute resolution.
EPLegal’s participation and contribution at the conference reaffirm its strong capabilities in energy, infrastructure, and dispute resolution – key legal pillars underpinning the green transition in Vietnam and the region.
